Prof. Noa Eshkol, theoretician and choreographer, founded Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation with Prof. Avraham Wachman, architect, in the 1950s. Its first proposal was published in 1956 and the first book outlining its principles, in 1958. EWMN is a notation system for recording movement. Not unlike a musical score, EWMN has a key of symbols and a division of the manuscript page denoting movements by individual (body) parts. The system is used in many fields, including dance, physical therapy, animal behavior and early diagnosis of autism.

This catalogue aims to document Noa Eshkol's personal reference library.

The Noa Eshkol Foundation For Movement Notation is the only authorized organization to carry out the expressed wishes of Noa Eshkol.
